The cantor or song leader introduces the music to be sung at each organ Mass and leads the Congregation in song.
The cantor must be able to sing solo, especially certain parts of the Liturgy such as verses of the responsorial
psalm. Based on availability, cantors may select a regular Mass at which to sing or substitute at a Mass of their
choice.
